"Our students have been working so hard to put on this production, and we are very excited for the community to enjoy it,"Riley said.

The show is based on the Nickelodeon animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" and will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. There's also Saturday showings at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The show tells the story of SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends in Bikini Bottom, where they discover that a nearby volcano, Mt. Humongous, will erupt in the next 48 hours and destroy the town. SpongeBob must try to prove that he's more than just a simple sponge and save his town with the help of his friends, Sandy Cheeks and Patrick Star.

SpongeBob's story was chosen with Bristol-Warren's youngest students in mind, while it's a performance that the Masqueraders said they expect will appeal to all ages.

The production, directed by Mackenzie Maron, features a cast including Mount Hope High School Masqueraders co-presidents Jeff Gonzalez and Casey Little, and a crew featuring stage manager Taylor Mason, who also conducts the group’s publicity.

Tickets are available at the door. Tickets for students and seniors cost $10, while general admission is $15.
